Racquetball
leagues are offered four
times per year:
- Winter: Jan.
– March
- Spring: April – May
- Summer: June – August
- Fall: Sept. – Nov.
Each league runs for 10 weeks. The first week of League
consists of playing for placement. There are 8 levels of
placement: A-1, A-2, A-3, B-1, B-2, B-3, B-4, C and
Juniors. Division A-1 is considered the highest ranking, C
the lowest. Juniors are 8-14years of age. The next 7 weeks
are actual play in a round-robin format. The last week is
designated for make ups and the League Awards Dinner
Party. Leagues are open to members only. Signup is
at the front desk.
League fees:
- $20 1st League
- $12 2nd League
- $20 Junior League - Sat. 12-2
League nights: Mondays & Wednesdays - Adults
Play begins at 5 PM – times for matches varies. Call in
for a starting time for the 1st night

The first 2 weeks in December is "Open League". Anyone can
come and play with no fees.
Handball
leagues are run on
Tuesday nights. The format varies. Contact Charlie
Wicker ext. 347.
Tournaments
Statewide
racquetball
and
handball
tournaments are held
several times a year. Tournaments are held over the
weekend; Friday night 5-10 PM, Saturday 9-5 PM, and Sunday
9 AM - 1 PM.
Lessons/Clinics
Private
racquetball
lessons are available from one of our pros at the
following rates:
-
½ hour — $20 -
1 hour — $40
Court Rules
- Proper attire, including shirts, shorts and
sneakers, must be worn.
- Protective lensed eye guards are mandatory on
the courts.
- No black-soled tennis or running shoes are
permitted. There is a $10 fine for playing in shoes that
mark the court.
- Racquets must be equipped with racquet guards. This
notwithstanding, players should refrain from striking
the wall and floor surfaces of the courts.
- When arriving for play, check in at the Front Desk
for a court assignment.
- Court etiquette should be adhered to at all
times. When your court time is up, please leave the
court as soon as the next players arrive.
- Courts 1 through 8 will be available on the hour,
and courts 7 through 11 on the half hour. If you wish to
continue to play beyond one hour, call the Front Desk
(ext. 100) for a court assignment (if a court is
available). During prime time, (Monday through Friday,
4-9pm and weekends, 8am – noon), single
racquetball/handball
members may reserve
only one hour of court time per day; double
racquetball
handball members
may reserve two hours of prime time per day. You may
reserve courts 48 hours in advance.
Challenge Court Rules:
- Two challenge courts are set aside each day for a
number of hours. Periods for challenge are 3-9pm Monday
through Friday and 9am-12pm weekends and holidays. The
winner of a challenge match may play a second challenge,
but must leave the court, win or lose, after the second
match.
- On Monday & Wednesday court #1 is for Open and "A"
racquetball
players only. Court #2 is for "B" & "C"
racquetball
players only.
All games are
to 15 points.
No player may
have his name on both challenge courts at one time.
If a waiting
player is not present at the end of a game, he will lose
his place to the following player or players.
On Tuesdays,
Thursdays & Fridays, courts #2 & #4 are designated for
handball
challenge from
4-8pm. Courts #1 & #3 are designated for
racquetball
challenge during
this time. On Saturday & Sunday courts #2 & #4 are
handball
challenge,
Courts #1, #3 & #5 are
racquetball
challenge.
On Saturdays
from 9am-12 noon the even courts are for
handball
and the odd courts are
for
racquetball.
- Please do not leave athletic bags directly outside
the court doors. This impedes hallway traffic.
